POW! WOW! Antelope Valley recently took place in Lancaster where several murals were created and a brilliant exhibition curated by Thinkspace was unveiled.
The mural artists included the following: Amandalynn, Andrew Schoultz, David Flores, Bumblebeelovesyou, Yoskay Yamamoto , Julius Eastman, Kris Holladay, Lady Echo, Mark Dean Veca, MEGGS, MOUF and Michael Jones.
The Lancaster Museum of Art and History, in collaboration with Los Angeles’ Thinkspace Gallery opened The New Vanguard which featured works by over 55 artists from the New Contemporary Movement. The exhibition presented one of the largest cross-sections of artists working within the movement’s diverse vernaculars, ever shown within a museological context in California to date.
