Over the past 7 years, Gaia unique striking style has been showcased across large-scale urban walls worldwide.
Gaia has an artistic ability like very few, his work has aided positive social development, making an active impact on the surrounding area and the community who inhabit it.
Some of Gaia subjects are from his hometown of Baltimore, an area blighted by derelict homes and urban poverty.  The work can highlight the anonymous struggle of local residents from whom he asks nothing, except the occasional photograph of their hands…‘
Show of Hands’ is an exhibition of original drawings, based upon Gaia’s ever-present fascination with the humble human hand. Each delicately rendered finger and sensitively shaded knuckle reveals a complex modern narrative, he depictions are comparable to the emotive anatomical etchings of past masters.
