Preview: POW! WOW! Hawaii 2014

POW! – It’s the impact that art has on a person. A punch in the face. 
WOW! – It’s reaction that art has on a viewer. A sense of awe and wonderment. 

Centered around a week-long event in Hawaii, POW! WOW! has grown into a global network of artists and organizes gallery shows, lecture series, schools for art and music, mural projects, a large creative co- working spaces, concerts, and live art installations across the globe. The central event takes place between February 8th and the 15th in the Kaka’ako district of Honolulu, and brings over a hundred international and local artist together to create murals and other forms of art. This is the fourth edition in Hawaii.

The lineup is out and it looks like another amazing POW WOW is going to hit Hawaii. This year’s lineup is arguably the deepest of any of the major U.S. festivals.

International artists are:
123Klan, Aaron De La Cruz, Apex, Andrew Schoultz, Bask, Brendan Monroe, Cope2, Cyrcle, Dabs Myla, Dave Kinsey, Defer, Gage Hamilton, Gaia, Glenn Barr, Hanasaurusrex, Hannah Stouffer, Indie 184, INSA, Inti, Jeff Hamada, Jessie Unterhalter, Katey Truhn, Know Hope, Kofie, Lady Aiko, Madsteez, Meggs, Mimi Pond, Norm, Nychos, Persue, Reach, Reka, Roids, Ron English, Seth Globepainter, Skinner, Spencer Keeton Cunningham, Tatiana Suarez, Tristan Eaton, Vhils and Wayne White.

Local artists will include:
Alina Kawai, Beak, Bother, Buff Monster, Chris Broy, Ckaweeks, Danny King, Davesaction, Devour, Dmize, Dzine, East3, Ekundayo, ENDR, Estria, Eukarezt and Evolve
