WESR was recently invited in Italy to paint in the city of Chieri for the Sketchmate Street Art Festival where he worked on this fantastic new mural.
Danny Figueroa aka Wesr was born in 1980 in the capital of Peru, Lima, where he also started his career as a “grafitero” in 1996. His growing up was strongly affected by the cultural clash in which the ethnic traditions of his country were being confronted with the upcoming Americanisation which made him learn how to deal with a visual overdose of the combination of different styles. This is also reflected in his art, in which he brings together the aesthetics of traditional and contemporary japanese graphic illustrations with elements of Peruvian indigenous art.
