Our friend Edoardo Tresoldi was recently invited to create a new installation in Siena, a city in Italy’s central Tuscany which is distinguished by its medieval brick buildings.
In town for the Contemporary Art Fair “Inchiostro depARTure”, the Italian artist created a monumental sculpture entitled “Pueblo”.
The Rome-Based artist created a series of giant wire mesh pillars which are each showing at their top the outlines of different faces which are all oriented in different directions.
This was curated Claudia Ferrini and David Boselli founders of Zoe art & culture in collaboration with the Fondazione Musei Senesi and Siena Art Institute
With this installation, the dialogue between the visitors, the architecture and the sculptural faces takes form by polarizing centers of interaction with a new meeting point between different groups of people in the space.
