Dutch artist Daan Botlek recently rounded up another edition of an independent art project that hes been running for 6 years with other befriended artists. “If Paradise Is Half As Nice” (IPIHAN) is a self-initiated art project focused on making art in abandoned buildings, and this year it took place in the beautiful Polygraph building in Leipzig, Germany.
The idea of this artist-initiated project is to allow artists to experiment with new concepts, ideas and mediums, outside of their studio. The project lasts for couple of weeks, and the final result is an open exhibition of site specific installations. Unfortunately, due to illness Botlek missed out on the first 2 weeks, but still managed to try couple of new ideas that play with perspective, depth and somewhat illusion.
Check out more photos of Daan’s work for IPIHAN 6 after the jump and stay tuned for more reports about independent public art projects from around the globe.
