Right after his recent big showing in Shanghai, Ludo went back to Turin in Italy to document two installations he worked on back in July 2017. Located in the tunnels 1km under the ground level this was the first time the works have been revealed to the public.

The pieces are located in a controversial location, the famous tunnel that is under construction between Turin and Lyon. The works are based on famous Latin proverbs about war; “Dulce Bellum Inexpertis (War is sweet for those who haven’t experienced it)” and “Casus Belli” (an event or action that justifies or allegedly justifies a war or conflict), and include Ludo’s signature biomechanic hybrids along with text. Put in a dialogue, the two works discuss whether the fight for a better world, is justified and/or the right way to go. Also, they are questioning where is the right balance between keeping the tradition and progressing. Being documented and reveiled after 3 months, the effect on time and extreme conditions of the location became the part of this unique installation.
