Still touring around Europe since his London show back in April, Alex Senna recently opened another show in Turin’s “Galo Art Gallery” and than moved to Holland to paint new murals. Invited by the people behind Street Art Heerlen project, the Brazilian artist spent couple of days in a small town of Schinveld and their hometown of Heerlen.
Painting on a walls of the Schinveld’s gliding fly club, Senna composed a great simple image that is perfectly fitting the unusual format of the building. In his recognizable illustrative style he painted an image of a boy holding a plane. Using unusual, exaggerated posture, perspective and shadow effect as his signature marks, the poetic black and white drawing also includes one of his trademark bird characters resting on boys leg. In similar style, he painted another piece in Herleen, again showing a little lonesome boy seen from an unusual perspective, continuing his works that put accent on the shadow instead the main subject.
