The second edition of 167 Art Project, an artistic laboratory located in the center of the 167B, in the stadium area, in the city of Lecce in Puglia (Southern Italy) has just been completed. This artistic forge over a period of more than 10 years has become a very active focus of research and experimentation of urban art. It collaborates now with numerous artists, cultural operators, artistic collectives and refines new concepts of living through the use of innovative spaces and languages, accompanying the social and geographical evolution of the places in which it operates. For this latest edition the colors, the monumental works, and a new approach to feel the shared spaces by the inhabitants of the neighborhood to dictate the rhythm of the operational days of the festival, were the absolute protagonists.

Among the invited artists we find Athene based artist Dimitris Taxis.

Dimitris Taxis through his mural described the moment of grape harvesting in a representative “frame”. Viktoria, the title of his work, is an almost romantic image with warm and delicate tones and it presents a woman in the action of picking grapes at the center of a Salentine landscape during the harvest. A timeless synthesis that shows, at a glance, the relationship of exchange between man and his environment, inspiring the viewer to enrich the sense of identification with the land, the sense of love to their land and enforcing care for it.
