Askew recently participated in the Street Prints Papaioea festival in his birth town of Palmerston North, New Zealand.

The NYC-based artist created this 3 story mural that incorporated elements of his recent experiments. It has the layering of street texture with different blending modes shifting colours from positive to negative, it uses the glitch effects from his past years studies, it has the 3D scanned elements wrapped with street texture from the previous studies and it also incorporates a portrait component. Askew also challenged himself to use as little spray paint as possible on this mural.

A beautiful piece by Askew and we definitely look forward to see more of his work in 2020.

Take a look at more beautiful images by the talented Yoshitaro Yanagita below.
