The last couple months has been a crazy whirl-wind surrounding the Presidential election and politics in general. One of the driving forces behind many of the countries best street artists over the past couple years has been inspired by these politicians. As we transition from one President to another some of the worlds most notorious street artists came together to honor President Barack Obama with the help of The Marcy Project in Williamsburg Brooklyn.
The Marcy Project curated this new group theme show featuring some of the biggest names in street art such as Blek Le Rat, Nick Walker, The London Police, Chad Hasegawa, Pure Evil, & Vinz Feel Free.
Each artist through their own unique styles chose a facet of the Obama presidency that inspired them and created works reflecting this. It’s worth the trip to Brooklyn just to see Nick Walker’s take on Air Force One stenciled on actual jet panelling!
