Preto E Branco a new Project by Italian Street Artist 2501 and Ozmo in Sao Paulo, Brazil. 1

Our friends 2501 and Ozmo recently travelled to Brazil for the “Preto e Branco” project. The idea started a year ago when they decided to work on putting together figurative and abstract works to talk about sacred iconography.

The Italian duo created a series of specific works on canvas for the show plus three walls and a kinetic sculpture based on the zoetrope concept. The traditional zoetrope consists of a cylinder with slits cut vertically in its sides and a series of sequenced images on its inner surface. As the cylinder is spun, the viewer looks through the slits to the opposite side of the interior.
