Our friends Sten & Lex are currently in Mexico where they just finished working on a brand new piece somewhere on the streets of Mexico City.
Created as part of their upcoming solo show “Paesaggi Industriali” at Celaya Brothers Gallery that opens on May 7, artists Sten Lex intervened a mural on a rooftop of the renowned Roma neighborhood.
The mural was produced with the same matrix used by the Italian duo for “Piramidi”, one of the artworks that will be exhibited during the exhibition.
The inspiration for this piece comes from their recent visit to the pyramids of Teotihuacan. Through these labyrinth geometric figures, Sten Lex explore the texture of the pyramids walls, elevating it to a powerful creating agent as opposed to a simple detail.
