Julia Volchkova also took part in the first edition of Dubai Street Museum which was organized by Brand Dubai in the old part of the city. The project was curated and produced by Rom Levy and Sanaz Askari.

Using the curated theme of “The Past”, the Russian artist found inspiration in a local boat called the Abra. Used solely in Dubai for decades, the boat was used for residents to cross the creek.

Geared with her brushes, rollers and a lot of high quality Jotun exterior paint, Julia spent several days on Satwa Roundabout in order to create this beautiful piece of work which will now be enjoyed by the local residents for years to come. She staged the photoshoot in Dubai for her reference work in order to paint more than just a pretty wallpaper.

Take a look at more images below and if you are in the area, make sure to stop by 2nd of December Street to check out all of the artworks by yourself.
