In collaboration, artists and curators Swoon, Monica Canilao, and BLK PALATE present a group art exhibition focusing on the erotic. Featuring established and emerging artists, “The Intricate Intimate” offers a safer space for artists to explore the intricacies of erotic intimacy, on their own terms and based on their own definitions.

The public is invited to view this show and consider questions the co-curators have asked the artists:  What seduces you? What arouses your vulnerability? What empowers your sensual self? How does the intersection of identities and lived experiences inform sexual intimacy? What’s the relationship between sexual expression and survival? Where are the taboo spaces in which humans access healing? What is the role of art in reflecting how each of us becomes liberated from the societal constraints that we are born into?

Allouche Gallery has invited a (this) collection of artists whose palpable work inspires audiences to to explore the intricacies of their own erotic intimacy. “The Intricate Intimate” features works from:  Heather Benjamin, Lanee Bird, Monica Canilao, Judy Chicago, Raúl de Nieves, Jane Dickson, Tatyana Fazlalizadeh, C. Finley, Hugo Gyrl, Hana Kostis, Shoog McDaniel, Karmimadeebora McMillan, Kalae Nouveau, Rajni Perera, Cristy Road Carrera, Lila Roo, Caitlin Rose, Marigold Santos, Evie Snax, Elena Stonaker, Judith Supine, Swoon, Nichole Washington, Lauren YS, Patrick Dougher

“The Intricate Intimate” is available for viewing now through June 2nd, 2021 at Allouche Gallery, NYC (contact Allouche Gallery for viewing availability & COVID measures).  A must see!!!
