Margay has completed El Vuelo for the 2026 edition of Art Aero Rap in La Bañeza, Spain.
The mural takes its title from flight, while the artist describes the work as “a song to weightlessness,” joining swimming and flying in a suspended, fluid image. A passage by the French poet Paul Valéry accompanies the piece, extending its sense of immersion, movement and abandon.

El Vuelo was made for the XIV Art Aero Rap festival, which brought live mural painting to streets across La Bañeza from 12 to 16 August 2026. The artist thanks local residents, fellow participating artists and the festival’s organising team, alongside photographer Maldita Señora. V. Macías Photo provided reference photography and assistance, while Courtney Moyers is credited as the work’s mermaid.
Art Aero Rap’s 2026 programme brought 23 mural artists to La Bañeza over five days, adding a new group of works to the city’s evolving outdoor collection.
