Crocheted Olek New Installation On The Alamo Cube, NYC

The residents and visitors of Astor Place/Cooper Square got a pleasant surprise this morning. Crotchet artist “Olek” (interviewed) has crochet-bombed the Alamo Cube, the giant cub located right outside the Astor Place train station.
It has been almost a year since she bombed the Wall Street Bull (covered) and She has crocheted on this new piece the following quote: “I’m still proud to say what I do for a living”.
She says it’s a message to support the ongoing Occupy Wall Street protest Downtown.
The installation was taken down about an hour ago by a man with scissors…
