Italian painter Gionata Gesi aka Ozmo just completed this monumental new mural on the streets of Roma for the Urban Arena 2 event.
Entitled “You Are Worth More Than Many Sparrows” it refers to the words of Jesus in a Gospel Hymn: “Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows”
This brilliant new piece depicts a multitude of people being crushed beneath a pyramid topped up by the “God Of Money”. The “In Art We Trust” word critically interrogate the viewer about the possibility to separate the art from its economic value.
If you stop by Roma, this one can be seen at the MACRO – Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Roma.
