The Bushwick Collective is celebrating five years of beautifying the Jefferson stop off the L train in Bushwick Brooklyn with blocks upon blocks of murals by the who’s who of the street art world. Over the years the roster has included Blek Le Rat, Tristan Eaton, Buff Monster, Cyrcle, Tats Cru, Solus, Jerkface, and SO many more. This years festivities will include a live musical performance by JADAKISS, live Dj’s, a group gallery show, and of course over 50 Graffitti and Street Artists painitng live on buildings (including D-face, Giz, Case Maclaim, Crash One, Hops1, Don Rimx, Jins, Sipros, and Just One, among many others).
The gallery show this year (12,000SF ON 198 RANDOPLH STREET BROOKLYN NY) will include both international acclaimed and local up and comers including students from The New School and Parsons School of Design featuring Shepard Fairey (Obey), GIZ, Ghost, Cost, Dan Witz, Damian Mitchel, Hops1, ZA ONE, Crash one, Joe Iurato, Bg 183, Nicer, Bio, AC2, LOLA, Eric Jones, Tim Okamura, Meres one, Atomic, Rafael Gonzalez, Jaime Rojo, See one, Jins, JRC, Enx, MrJune, and many more are being added by the hour!
The gallery show will open for a Friday June 3rd (VIP showing at 6pm) and open to the public 7-12am. Opening Reception featuring performances by Jim Jones, Styles P, and Mayhem Lauren. Additionally the gallery will be open to the general public Saturday June 4th & Sunday June 5th 10am to 5pm.
The 5th Year Anniversary Block Party is SATURDAY JUNE 4th 11am to 5pm (Troutman St. at St. Nicholas Ave. of the Jefferson stop of the L train). The Block Party featuring performances by Jadakiss, Chris Rivers, Joell Ortiz, Dave East.
The Block party is the best kind of madness every year and is not to be missed! See you Saturday!
