Our good friend RONE recently launched The Alpha Project – a cluster of four massive portrait murals painted secretly over three months in an large abandoned paper mill due for demolition. In an nearby building, another smaller portrait is visible surrounded by rubble in a scene resembling a war zone not inner suburban Melbourne. The murals were revealed over two days last week to a select group of invited friends. The works have now been buffed by the artist prior to the buildings coming down in the next few days. Photographs of the five portraits will be available soon although the actual murals will never be seen by the naked eye again.
