This Saturday June 2nd, 2018 The Bushwick Collective 7th Annual Block Party in Brooklyn, NY is the place to be! Free for all this yearly event features, music, food, venders, face painting, a beer garden, food trucks, free haircuts… and art… live art… and more ART!! Some of the best street artists in the world have descended on to Bushwick Brooklyn to fill the streets with blocks and blocks of murals for your enjoyment. This years stacked line up of artists includes Hops1, Zaone, Sipros, Li-Hill, Mr. June, GIZ, Gondek, BKFoxx, Loomit,Bisco Smith, FBoom, FKDL, El Cekis, Lexi Bella, Urban Ruban, Jeff Henriquez, Aquarela and many, many, more. But that’s not all… while you enjoy instagraming all the larger than life murals you can additionally enjoy musical performances by Ja Rule, Chris Webby, Mr. Cheeks, Statik Selektah & friends, Dj Evil Dee, & Crush Calhoun just to name a few!
Founder and curator for The Bushwick Collective Joe Ficalora spends the entire year planning, organizing, and making the free community event a reality. For those that do not know The Bushwick Collective is an organization dedicated to helping both established and up and coming artists with a public space to showcase their art while brightening up the Bushwick Brooklyn neighborhood just blocks from the Jefferson stop of the L train.
Not much is truly free these days especially in NYC, so take advantage of an afternoon filled with art, music, food, family, and friends… Because if you miss it you will have to wait an entire year to rock out like this again!
Get there early because this event has been crazy packed in years past!
