ComplexCon’s tenth-anniversary edition brought its announced programme of art, music, design and streetwear to Los Angeles on October 3–4, 2026. The event paired a marketplace and exhibition programme at the Los Angeles Convention Center with concerts at Crypto.com Arena, under the artistic direction of Playboi Carti and Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment Design.
Archive note: this article was originally published ahead of the event. The October 2026 edition has ended; the overview below records its announced programme.
Playboi Carti and Hiroshi Fujiwara’s creative direction
Putting a musician and a designer in charge of the anniversary’s creative direction gave the programme a useful thread. Carti’s music comes with a distinct visual world, while Fujiwara’s work moves between clothing, objects and the scenes that give them meaning. Their involvement placed the relationship between sound and image at the centre of the event.

The announced concert bill named Ken Carson as Saturday’s headliner, alongside HXG and ApolloRed1. Playboi Carti was billed for Sunday, with Destroy Lonely and F1lthy also on the programme. The arena concerts were a separate part of the weekend from the activity on the Convention Center floor.
Art and design on the Convention Center floor
The organisers announced more than 300 participating brands, artists and creators. Artist-led environments and live conversations sat alongside the marketplace, with Futura among the names featured in the official programme.

Futura offers a particularly direct connection to the visual language that StreetArtNews has followed for years. His movement from graffiti into painting, objects and collaborative projects makes him an important figure when looking at the relationship between street culture and design. Our coverage of Futura2000’s Breaking Out retrospective in Buffalo follows that wider career.
The temporary spaces are worth looking at as closely as the objects inside them. An artist environment or booth has to establish an identity in a crowded hall, where people are moving, gathering and stopping. Scale, colour and the placement of an image all shape that encounter. It is a different setting from a mural on a street, but there is a shared question: what makes someone pause and look?
Family Style and ThriftCon
The announced programme also included the Family Style Food Festival and vintage programming through ThriftCon. These brought food, clothing and collecting into the same setting as the art and music, giving the gathering a wider social dimension.

That overlap is part of what makes an event like ComplexCon relevant beyond a list of releases. People arrive through different interests and meet in a shared physical space. A graphic on a shirt, an artist’s installation or a concert visual can become the point of connection.
