A few hours ago, SAN attended the opening of Anthony Lister new solo show in Los Angeles at New Image Art Gallery on Santa Monica.

After the superheroes theme, Lister approaches a more antique subject matter with his new body of work, the beautiful and sometime twisted form of the dancing ballerina. Where Degas uses Pastel, Lister boldly uses his weapon of choice aka spray paint.
We really enjoyed the new canvases with their gestural representations of a moving moment Lister does wonders to masterfully captures his prey, the Ballerina.
Also available to the attendees, a series of four 11″x14″ prints, edition of 25 and printed by Modern Multiples was priced $550 for the set.
If you are in Los Angeles, make sure to stop by Santa Monica Boulevard to catch that superb new show that will be running until April 7th.
