Our friends Sten Lex will be opening their new solo show tomorrow, October 18th in Paris at the Magda Danysz Gallery.
Their work consists of portraits of anonymous characters that they photograph as well as portraits from album covers from the ‘60s and ‘70s. Their technique, which they named “Hole School”, is a meticulous hand cut stencil process. They make a thin frame consisting of thousands of paper lines. From the contrast of the black and white lines, the portrait emerges.

If you are in Paris tomorrow, make sure to stop by the opening of Sten Lex’s new show from 6PM at the Magda Danysz Gallery – 78, rue Amelot – Paris 11
