“Icarus” by AEC in Mexico City

Former Interesni Kazki member, AEC just visited the lovely city of Mexico City where he was in town to paint a massive building for the Beauty Project.

Entitled “Icarus”, the Ukrainian muralist spent a few days up high to create this gigantic rendition of a modern day Icarus. The tale that inspired AEC tells the story of  Icarus, the son of Daedalus who dared to fly too near the sun on wings of feathers and wax. Daedalus had been imprisoned by King Minos of Crete within the walls of his own invention, the Labyrinth.

The piece shows a business man and his suit case falling down the abyss of Capitalism. A modern day tale by the talented Ukrainian artist painted in his traditional illustrative style.
