Danish artist and illustrator, Huskmitnavn, has recently spent couple of days in Charleroi creating couple of works around the city for their Asphalte Bienal D’Art Urbain. Famous for his witty flat images, and clever ways of addressing a certain issue or subject, these works brighten up the corners of the town.
The biggest mural created was of a character jumping into a book, a piece cleverly painted on a local school, encouraging kids to enjoy books. On the same building he painted an image of a boy getting hit in the face by a football, dedicating it to”the kids who love football and for the kids who don’t.” Other pieces were commenting on the everyday life from bird poop on cars, to scenes from a local red light district.
Check more images after the jump, and check back more for more work by the prolific Danish artist, as well as more action from Asphalte.
