We are currently in Honolulu, Hawaii for the excellent Pow! Wow! Hawaii 2016 edition. All the artists are now in the district of Kaka’Ako getting started on their wall where we just stopped by to visit Audrey Kawasaki.
Born in 1982 in Los Angeles, Audrey Kawasaki is known for her figurative, erotically charged paintings which portray a young woman. Audrey’s precise technical style is at once influenced by both manga comics and Art Nouveau.
Pow! Wow! is a global collective of artists and friends doing big things in the arts community of Honolulu, Hawaii. Centered around an annual cultural gathering in the up-an-coming neighborhood of Kaka’ako.
Stick with your friends at StreetArtNews to stay updates on the latest walls going up on the streets of Honolulu for Pow! Wow! 2016.
