Our Irish friend Fin DAC has been a little quite of late in terms of street work but he assures us thats all about to change and first off the bat is this new creation entitled ‘Lady Kinoko’ in Notting Hill, West London.

Carrying on from successful ‘interventions’ last year in Venice and Miami, the artist tells us he’s trying as much as possible this year to not just ‘paint a mural’ but to add something extra to each piece he does.

In this particular case that means a very narrow, curved wall made into something way more interesting with the addition of a trompe l’oeil crown, that utilises the building architecture to perfection, some faux 3d elements that you might mistakenly think are real and a couple of decorative lanterns that dangle down from the crown on both sides.

Installed over the course of 5 days, its by far the biggest and most prominent street art to have graced a wall in this trendy part of the English capital.

Lady Kinoko can be found on the corner of Portobello Road and Lancaster Road
