“Open To The Public” is Alex Chinneck latest surreal installation which just opened its door in Kent, United Kingdom.

His newest work shows a giant zip opening the walls of a 1960’s building. The new installation pays homage to the building’s history of leather and textile factory. The piece took two months to be completed.

โ€œThere is a history of textile that fed into the language of the zip,โ€

โ€œThe building presented a good opportunity because facing demolition, it gave us the sculptural freedom to open it up to the elements.โ€

If you are in the area, the installation can be found at Brundett House, Tannery Lane
Ashford, Kent TN23 1PN.
