Basik is currently in Lido Adriano, Italy where he just wrapped up this beautiful new piece entitled “A Path Of Struggle Through A Kingdom And Its Crown”.
Along with a nice series of shots, the Italian artist sent us the following explanation on this complex piece:
The twin works take their inspiration from the Sephirot of the Tree of Life, the ten emanations of Kabbalah. The three letters refer to the attributes which lay on the central vertical line of the Tree of Life K as Keter, the crown. It stands on top, invisible, above everything. T as Tiferet, spirituality, balance, compassion. A lower reflection of Keter, stands at the center and it’s connected to all the other sephirot except one. In christian Kabbalah it is associated with Jesus Christ. (the golden tree passing through the hand at T point resembles Jesus’ stigmata) M as Malkuth, the kingdom – It stands at the bottom of the tree. It’s the lowest sephirah and the closest to matter & earth. Tiferet is nonetheless its higher reflection — Basik
Make sure to take a peep at more detailed images after the break and then let us know how you like it down in the comments.
