Australian artist Fintan Magee who has been featured on Streetartnews countless times is one of the artists participating for the fifth edition of MURAL International Public Art Festival and here is his work in progress update… In the pictures you are able to see the mural starting to go up covering already done outlines with two of artists signature characters, one of them being blindfolded with the same scarf the other characters hair is covered.

Fintan Magee is an Australian street artist known for his murals throughout Australia and the world. Born in Lismore, New South Wales, Magee was raised in Brisbane and exposed to graffiti culture at a very young age. Moving away from traditional graffiti in recent years, his large-scale murals often inhabit the isolated, abandoned and broken corners of the city. Mixing surreal and figurative imagery, his paintings are deeply integrated with the urban environment and explore themes of waste, consumption, loss and transition, containing a sentimentality and softness influenced by children’s books. His diligent technical skills and progressive approach to painting have solidified his reputation as one of the leading figures in Australia’s Street Art scene.

Take a look below for another image revealing more of the mural while you wait to discover the final work in the next few days.
