Pastel is back with a new mural in Lisbon, Portugal. This work was curated by Underdogs Gallery. Pastel y. This delicate new mural is just a beautiful example of that. The artist uses a distinct visual language in his murals. He fills his walls with patterns based on the local flora of the area he’s painting in — an effective way to connect with the communities he encounters in his travels.

Francisco Diaz aka Pastel is an Argentinian artist who uses symbolism and nature to explore and communicate seldom told stories about war and socio-political differences that to this day remain relevant in new geographical areas. Working with symbols like arrowheads and flora, the pieces begin a dialogue about nature of man and his surroundings, the existential, real, pure and tragic.
