This week we have a fantastic giveaway designed by one of our friends, Australian artist Reka. Ultimate Ears just released a limited edition version of their UE BOOM 2 wireless speaker, adorned with Reka’s distinctive illustration.
The UE BOOM 2 is the follow-up Bluetooth speaker to Ultimate Ears’ 2013 UE Boom – a waterproof bluetooth speaker that made a big bang with its insane maximum volume and stellar battery life.
Sound quality on the UE BOOM 2 is impressive, at least by Bluetooth speaker standards. Bass levels are solid and pack a suitable punch. After playing with our UE BOOM 2 for a few days, the battery life is fairly awesome with up to 15 hours of music before needing to be recharged, and it means the speaker will happily last a full day in the park, or for a week of evening listening.
Reka’s style is inspired by pop culture, cartoons and illustrations, Reka spent more than a decade refining his emblematic aesthetic throughout Melbourne’s inner-suburb alleyways and train lines.
